WHAT IS A TRANSFORMER? ELECTRICAL-ELECTRONICS
Transformer is a static electrical machine which transform AC electrical power or energy from primary circuit to secondary circuit according to the Faraday’s law of electromagnetic induction with out change of the frequency. It works on manual induction where the induced e.m.f statical. Statical induced emf called transformer emf.
Working Principle: TRANSFORMER
Transformer consists by two inductive electromagnetic coils where are electrically separated and magnetically linked through an iron core. When AC supply is given to the primary winding of a transformer then alternating flux will be produced which cut primary and secondary winding as a result emf will be induced in the primary and secondary winding respectively. If secondary winding is closed circuited then current will be flowing through secondary winding. By this process power can be transform to secondary winding with out change of frequency.
